Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to develop a new time-dependent KdV6 equation. The authors derive multiple soliton solutions and multiple complex soliton solutions for a time-dependent equation.
Design/methodology/approach
The newly developed time-dependent model has been handled by using the Hirota’s direct method. The authors also use the complex Hirota’s criteria for deriving multiple complex soliton solutions.
Findings
The examined extension of the KdV6 model exhibits complete integrability for any analytic time-dependent coefficient.
Research limitations/implications
The paper presents a new efficient algorithm for constructing extended models which give a variety of multiple real and complex soliton solutions.
Practical implications
The paper introduced a new time-dependent KdV6 equation, where integrability is emphasized for any analytic time-dependent function.
Social implications
The findings are new and promising. Multiple real and multiple complex soliton solutions were formally derived.
Originality/value
This is an entirely new work where a new time-dependent KdV6 equation is established. This is the first time that the KdV6 equation is examined as a time-dependent equation. Moreover, the complete integrability of this newly developed equation is emphasized via using Painlevé test.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to examine the lump solutions of the (3 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear evolution equations by considering a (3 + 1)-dimensional generalized Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (gKP) equation and a (3 + 1)-dimensional variable-coefficient generalized B-type Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (vcgBKP) equation as examples.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on Hirota’s bilinear theory, a direct method is used to examine the lump solutions of these two equations.
Findings
The complete non-elastic interaction solutions between a lump and a stripe are also discussed for the equations, which show that the lump solitons are swallowed by the stripe solitons.
Originality/value
The dynamics of these solutions are analyzed to enrich the diversity of the dynamics of high-dimensional KP-type nonlinear wave equations.

Research limitations/implications
The research also presents a set of rational schemes of trigonometric and hyperbolic functions to derive breather solutions.
Practical implications
The authors also furnish a variety of solitonic solutions and complex solutions as well.
Social implications
The work formally furnishes algorithms for extending integrable equations that consist of components of a hierarchy.
Originality/value
The paper presents an original work for developing Painlevé integrable model via using components of a hierarchy.

Abstract
Aims to analyse unique deformation properties of textile materials in terms of basic mechanical properties. Models fabric deformation as a nonlinear dynamical system so that a fabric can be completely specified in terms of its mechanical behaviour under general boundary conditions. Fabric deformation is dynamically analogous to waves travelling in a fluid. A localized two‐dimensional deformation evolves through the fabric to form a three‐dimensional drape or fold configuration. The nonlinear differential equations arising in the analysis of fabric deformation belong to the Klein‐Gordon family of equations which becomes the sine‐Gordon equation in three dimensions. The sine‐Gordon equation has its origins in the study of Bäcklund Transformations in differential geometry. Describes fabric deformation as a series of transformations of surfaces, defined in terms of curvature parameters using Gaussian representation of surfaces. By considering a deformed fabric as a two‐dimensional surface, algebraically constructs analytical solutions of fabric deformation by solving the sine‐Gordon Equation. The theory of Bäcklund Transformations is used to transform a trivial solution into a series of solitary wave solutions. These analytical expressions describing the curvature parameters of a surface represent actual solutions of fabric dynamical systems.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the homoclinic breathe-wave solutions and the singular periodic solutions for (2 + 1)-dimensional generalized shallow water wave (GSWW) equation.
Design/methodology/approach
The Hirota bilinear method, the Lie symmetry method and the non-Lie symmetry method are applied to the (2 + 1)D GSWW equation.
Findings
A reduced (1 + 1)D potential KdV equation can be derived, and its soliton solutions are also presented.
Research limitations/implications
As a typical nonlinear evolution equation, some dynamical behaviors are also discussed.
Originality/value
These results are very useful for investigating some localized geometry structures of dynamical behaviors and enriching dynamical features of solutions for the higher dimensional systems.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to study the breather waves, rogue waves and solitary waves of an extended (3 + 1)-dimensional Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (KP) equation, which can be used to depict many nonlinear phenomena in fluid dynamics and plasma physics.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors apply the Bell’s polynomial approach, the homoclinic test technique and Hirota’s bilinear method to find the breather waves, rogue waves and solitary waves of the extended (3 + 1)-dimensional KP equation.
Findings
The results imply that the extended (3 + 1)-dimensional KP equation has breather wave, rogue wave and solitary wave solutions. Meanwhile, the authors provide the graphical analysis of such solutions to better understand their dynamical behavior.
Originality/value
These results may help us to further study the local structure and the interaction of solutions in KP-type equations. The authors hope that the results provided in this work can help enrich the dynamic behavior of such equations.

Abstract
The buckling behaviour of engineering materials has been researched extensively since the 1890s and more recently, thin shell theory has generalised the analysis to include complicated boundary conditions. However, the approximations and assumptions which form the basis of engineering models make them inappropriate for textile materials. Very small stresses on textile materials cause extremely large strains so that the deformations are highly nonlinear. In this paper, we develop a nonlinear mathematical method. In the final section, the nonlinear differential equations used are generalised into a nonlinear evolution equation which is completely integrable and thus solved analytically obtaining dynamical solution for three‐dimensional fabric drape. These analytical solutions are applicable under all conditions and are not subject to computational difficulties associated with finding numerical solutions for highly nonlinear problems. The use of this analytical approach to fabric mechanics and dynamics provides us with a very powerful tool to formulate and solve many long‐standing problems in fabric and clothing technology.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to construct analytical solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equations, and the existence of rogue waves and their localized structures are studied.
Design/methodology/approach
Function transformation and variable separation method are applied to the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equations.
Findings
A series of analytical solutions including rogue wave solutions for the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equations are constructed. Localized structures of rogue waves confirm the presence of large amplitude wave wall.
Research limitations/implications
The localized structures of rogue waves are displayed by analytical solutions and figures. The authors just find some of them and others still to be found.
Originality/value
These results may help to investigate the localized structures and the behavior of rogue waves for nonlinear evolution equations. Applying two different function transformations and variable separation functions to two different states of the equations, respectively, to construct the solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equations. Rogue wave solutions are enumerated and their figures are partly displayed.

Abstract
Purpose
The current analysis produces the fractional sample of non-Newtonian Casson and Williamson boundary layer flow considering the heat flux and the slip velocity. An extended sheet with a nonuniform thickness causes the steady boundary layer flow’s temperature and velocity fields. Our purpose in this research is to use Akbari Ganji method (AGM) to solve equations and compare the accuracy of this method with the spectral collocation method.
Design/methodology/approach
The trial polynomials that will be utilized to carry out the AGM are then used to solve the nonlinear governing system of the PDEs, which has been transformed into a nonlinear collection of linked ODEs.
Findings
The profile of temperature and dimensionless velocity for different parameters were displayed graphically. Also, the effect of two different parameters simultaneously on the temperature is displayed in three dimensions. The results demonstrate that the skin-friction coefficient rises with growing magnetic numbers, whereas the Casson and the local Williamson parameters show reverse manners.
Originality/value
Moreover, the usefulness and precision of the presented approach are pleasing, as can be seen by comparing the results with previous research. Also, the calculated solutions utilizing the provided procedure were physically sufficient and precise.
