Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to study the magnetic properties of the materials Ni1−xCoxMnGe systems by: mean field theory, probability law and high‐temperature series expansions (HTSE) in the range 0≤x≤1. The nearest neighbour J1(x) and the next‐nearest neighbour super‐exchange interaction J2(x) are calculated, using the mean field theory and in the range 0≤x≤1.
Design/methodology/approach
The magnetic phase diagrams (TC versus dilution x) and the critical exponents associated with the magnetic susceptibility (γ) and with the correlation lengths (ν) are deduced for Ni1−xCoxMnGe in the ordered phase by HTSE method has combined with the Padé approximants method for the Ni1−xCoxMnGe.
Findings
The obtained magnetic phase diagram of Ni1−xCoxMnGe systems is comparable with those obtained by experiment. The values of critical exponents are nearest to those of 3D Heisenberg model and insensitive to the dilution.
Originality/value
Besides the magnetic shape memory effect, the magnetocaloric effect, which exhibits in Ni‐Mn‐Ge or Co‐Mn‐Ge alloys, is of technological interest.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to synthesize the manganese ferrite nanoparticle MnFe2O4 and to investigate the structure, size and to study the electronic and the magnetic properties of MnFe2O4 nanoparticles.
Design/methodology/approach
The co-precipitation method is used to synthesize the MnFe2O4. The structure and size were investigated by X-ray diffraction. The superconducting quantum interference device is used to determine the some magnetic ground. From theoretical investigation point of view self-consistent ab initio calculations, based on density functional theory approach using full potential linear augmented plane wave method, were performed to investigate both electronic and magnetic properties of the MnFe2O4. The high temperatures series expansion (HTSE) is used to study the magnetic properties of MnFe2O4.
Findings
The saturation magnetization, the coercivity and the transition temperature varied between 21-43 emu/g, 20-50 Oe and 571-630 K, respectively, have been studied. The gap energy of MnFe2O4 has been deduced. The critical temperature and the critical exponent have been obtained using HTSEs.
Originality/value
In the present work, the authors study the electronic and magnetic properties of MnFe2O4. The results obtained by the experiment and by ab initio calculations were used in HTSE as input to deduce other physical parameters.

Abstract
The magnetic properties of CoAl2−2xCo2xO4 for 0 ≤ x ≤ 1 are studied. The values of the nearest neighbour (J1), next‐nearest neighbour (J2), intra‐plane (Jaa) and inter‐plane (Jab,Jac) exchange interactions are calculated by the mean field theory for ordered region and by the probability law adapted of the nature of dilution problem in A‐spinel lattice in spin glass region. The high‐temperature series expansions have been applied in the CoAl2−2xCo2xO4 systems, combined with the Padé approximants method, to determine the Néel temperature TN (K) or freezing temperature TSG (K) in the range 0 ≤ x ≤ 1. The critical exponents associated with the magnetic susceptibility (y) and the correlation lengths (v) are deduced in the range ordered 0.3 ≤ x ≤ 1. The obtained values of y and v are insensitive to the dilution ratio x and may be compared with other theoretical results based on 3D Heisenberg model.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to combine the results of magnetic measurements with high temperature series expansions to determine the magnetic phase diagram of SrMn1−xFexO3 0≤x≤1 perovskites materials.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors have found antiferromagnetic ordering for lightly and heavily Fe‐substituted material, while intermediate substitution leads to spin‐glass behavior. Near the SrMn0.5Fe0.5O3 composition these two types of ordering are found to coexist and affect one another.
Findings
The spin glass behavior may be caused by competing ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions among Mn4+ and observed Fe3+ and Fe5+ ions.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to comprehensively analyze the factors influencing the adoption intentions of the digital rupee, a digital currency, among users in India.
Design/methodology/approach
Drawing upon the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the study examines the relationships between cognitive beliefs (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived trust, perceived self-efficacy, perceived cost and awareness), affective belief (attitude) and adoption intention of the digital rupee. The study uses a structured questionnaire to collect primary data from 1,707 respondents, which are then analyzed using structural equation modeling.
Findings
The results indicate that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly impact users' attitudes toward the digital rupee, as well as their adoption intentions. The findings further reveal that perceived trust, perceived self-efficacy, and awareness positively influence attitude and adoption intention. On the other hand, perceived cost exhibits a negative effect on attitude and adoption intention. These results provide empirical evidence on the factors that shape users' attitudes and intentions toward adopting the digital rupee.
Research limitations/implications
The research methodology used in this study ensures rigorous data collection and analysis. The structured questionnaire enabled the collection of detailed information from a large sample of respondents, allowing for robust statistical analysis. The utilization of structural equation modeling facilitated the examination of complex relationships among variables, enhancing the reliability and validity of the findings.
Practical implications
The study's findings offer practical guidance for policymakers, financial institutions and researchers in shaping digital currency regulatory frameworks, tailored financial services and further exploration of adoption dynamics.
Social implications
The research has social implications by potentially influencing the way individuals and communities in India engage with digital currencies, impacting financial inclusion and digital economic participation.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this research is to examine, from the self-efficacy standpoint, the factors that influence medical tourists' use of social media for travel planning. To that end, this study presents a conceptual framework for evaluating medical tourists' online behaviour and empirically tests the model's validity by examining various dimensions of self-efficacy.
Design/methodology/approach
A sample of 224 people who searched for medical tourism information online was used in this study. Partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was employed to test the proposed model with data from an online questionnaire survey.
Findings
The findings suggest that sources of self-efficacy reinforce one's belief in the ability to use social media for medical travel planning purposes. According to the structural model analysis results, with the exception of social persuasion (SP), all of the proposed factors were significant sources of self-efficacy.
Practical implications
The findings can assist medical tourism providers in optimising online searches for medical travel information, as well as medical tourism destination marketers in directing the tourism providers' marketing efforts towards the use of social media to target potential medical tourists more efficiently and on a larger scale.
Originality/value
This study is being conducted in response to a significant knowledge gap in identifying the factors that influence medical tourists' online behaviour. This information can help medical tourism destination marketers gain a competitive advantage by using social media to target potential medical tourists more effectively and on a larger scale.

Abstract
Purpose
Advances in technology have led to continuous innovations in teaching and learning methods. Ubiquitous-learning (u-learning) practices are still in the development stages. The current lack of effective learning strategy tools means that students often experience difficulty focusing on the learning objectives. Little research has been done on the educational benefits of integrating augmented reality (AR) technology running on tablet PCs (TPCs), either in the classroom or in a u-learning environment. Still, classroom instruction using TPCs has been shown to be attractive to students and able to effectively increase their motivation to learn. The paper aims to discuss these issues.
Design/methodology/approach
This paper uses a TPC game (an app called SkyView) to help young students understand the theory and practically implement the astronomy concepts of prograde and retrograde motion. The study design is based on the use of AR technology, and the authors divide students into “tablet PC application” (experimental group) and “astrolabe” (control group) games. The authors investigate whether the experimental group surpasses the control group in terms of learning motivation, flow experience (FE), self-efficacy regarding technology, self-efficacy regarding science, positive feelings about the learning experience, and satisfaction with the learning approach (SL).
Findings
The findings show that students in the experimental group performed better in regards to learning achievement. In general, the improved FE helped students enjoy the learning activity to the point that they did not notice the passage of time. In regards to SL, the findings show that the students in the experimental group had an increased willingness to use the TPC to learn.
Originality/value
There is a lack of research investigating the effects of the FE with tangible and AR technology in learning environments. The results of this study show the responses and performance of elementary students who participated in such a learning experience, in terms of their feelings regarding the method and tools, and in terms of their motivation, willingness to learn, and actual learning achievement.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the information-seeking behaviour of international students in terms of their information needs and to highlight the role of social media.
Design/methodology/approach
In this paper, a systematic literature survey was conducted in order to investigate information-seeking trends among international students while using social media. As a result, an exhaustive systematic literature review (SLR) was carried out in order to investigate social media as a source for the observation of the behaviours of international students. For this purpose, 71 articles were selected from various well-known sources after an intensive SLR process of searching, filtering and enforcing the inclusion and exclusion criteria.
Findings
As an outcome of this study, the information-seeking behaviour of international students was highlighted with respect to social media as a source of information. In addition, this research identifies the information needs of the international students and categorizes them by the roles played by the social media in fulfilling the information needs.
Practical implications
A comparative study that highlighted the dearth of studies which merge the social media and information-seeking behaviour of international students as well as identify the future direction for the researchers and for benefits of international students.
Originality/value
A detail SLR which highlights the need of shifting the information seeking behaviour from libraries to social media in regard to the new environment for international students.
