Abstract
Purpose
The mental health issues faced by young people can significantly hinder a nation’s development. The purpose of this study is to integrate the Self-Determination Theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior to examine the factors influencing the utilization of mental health days among young individuals.
Design/methodology/approach
An online survey was conducted to collect data from young people.
Findings
The results indicated that more positive attitudes, favorable subjective norms and a stronger sense of perceived behavioral control regarding mental health days are all associated with a higher intention to use them. Young individuals who have used counseling resources are more likely to endorse the use of mental health days. Satisfaction of the three basic psychological needs of autonomy, competence and relatedness has a diminishing effect on both motivation and intention to request mental health days. However, there is a positive relationship between motivation and intention to apply for mental health days. When competence needs are less well satisfied, the motivation and, in turn, the intention to request mental health days are enhanced.
Research limitations/implications
Shifting the leave framework from a disease-centered approach to a psychological leave model focused on mood adjustment can maximize the positive impact of mental health leave.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the theoretical understanding of the relationships between needs and motivation within the framework of self-determination theory. Furthermore, it integrates components from the theory of planned behavior to examine the influence of social pressures and self-efficacy on the intention to use mental health days. Mental health days can be seen as a cry for help from young adults. The utilization of mental health days serves as an effective means of managing one's mental state.

Abstract
Purpose
While the proliferation of chatbots allows companies to connect with their customers in a cost- and time-efficient manner, it is not deniable that they quite often fail expectations and may even pose negative impacts on user experience. The purpose of the study is to empirically explore the negative user experience with chatbots and understand how users respond to service failure caused by chatbots.
Design/methodology/approach
This study adopts a qualitative research method and conducts thematic analysis of 23 interview transcripts.
Findings
It identifies common areas where chatbots fail user expectations and cause service failure. These include their inability to comprehend and provide information, over-enquiry of personal or sensitive information, fake humanity, poor integration with human agents, and their inability to solve complicated user queries. Negative emotions such as anger, frustration, betrayal and passive defeat were experienced by participants when they interacted with chatbots. We also reveal four coping strategies users employ following a chatbots-induced failure: expressive support seeking, active coping, acceptance and withdrawal.
Originality/value
Our study extends our current understanding of human-chatbot interactions and provides significant managerial implications. It highlights the importance for organizations to re-consider the role of their chatbots in user interactions and balance the use of human and chatbots in the service context, particularly in customer service interactions that involve resolving complex issues or handling non-routinized tasks.

Abstract
Purpose
This study investigates the influence of market and hierarchy organizational cultures on international project performance and examines the mediating role of relational capital.
Design/methodology/approach
In-depth interviews and a cross-sectional questionnaire survey were conducted to collect primary data within international projects. Hierarchical regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses based on data collected from 62 respondents.
Findings
The results reveal that both market and hierarchy cultures affect international project performance positively. Additionally, communication, cooperation and trust help enhance project performance; however, commitment is not. This study also proves the mediating role of relational capital between organizational culture and project performance.
Research limitations/implications
This study selected only two types of organizational culture represented by Chinese construction enterprises. Future studies can explore the mediating role of relational capital between other varieties of organizational culture and project performance.
Originality/value
Given the high complexity and risks faced by projects abroad, both organizational culture, the internal environmental factor and relational capital being the external resource, are crucial for project success. This study clarifies the relationship between organizational culture, relational capital and project performance overseas. Empirical evidence to enhance international project performance for construction enterprises is provided. This study also makes contributions to international contractors who want to implement projects in developing countries.

Abstract
Purpose
Drawing on social identity, signalling and stakeholder theories, this paper aims to examine corporate reputation’s (CR) mediating role concerning corporate social responsibility (CSR) and customer loyalty (CL) among Generation Z customers of Nepali commercial banks.
Design/methodology/approach
The research applied a cross-sectional survey research design to collect data from 281 customers of Nepali commercial banks. The study used a purposive sampling method to reach the respondents and partial least squares structural equation model was used to test the hypotheses.
Findings
The results reveal that CSR significantly influences CR and CL. Likewise, CR positively influences CL. Moreover, CR partially mediates the relationship between CSR and CL. It implies that CSR and CR are critical variables for CL among Generation Z customers of Nepali commercial banks.
Practical implications
This study focuses on understanding the importance of CSR to Nepalese commercial bank managers to create a better customer base by focusing on the CSR dimensions, i.e. economic, environmental and social. It adds to the literature on the theoretical aspect of the study of CSR, particularly in the banking industry.
Originality/value
It has initially investigated CSR as a higher-order construct to explain the meditational mechanism of CR concerning CSR and CL. Moreover, the study examined the issue of endogeneity.
