Purpose Describes the online training that the British Council has developed to improve the performance of its employees who are sited in 109 countries across the world. Design/methodology/approach Discusses the content of the e-learning, how it is delivered and how its impact is assessed. Insets give the views of the Council’s head of learning and development and an employee of the value of the e-learning approach. Findings Reports a good uptake of the training and satisfaction within the Council at the number of employees who are completing the courses.
