Abstract

Purpose

The purpose of this paper is to inform employers how to engage their employees with their benefits strategy.

Design/methodology/approach

The author draws on personal experience and observations from the field relating to employee engagement strategies as workers are increasingly working remotely.

Findings

Despite changes in the workplace wrought by the pandemic, the fundamental need to emotionally connect with the employee remains – but it requires to be done in a slightly different way.

Originality/value

The article offers readers valuable insight gleaned from extensive experience and client engagement.
