DEVELOPING EUROPEAN TRAINERS
Abstract
Fourteen Europeans are taking part in a two‐year professional development programme that gives them hands‐on training and consultancy experience in four different European countries. The European Training of Trainers and Training Consultants Programme, described in this article, is being run by four organisations from Spain, France, Belgium and the UK. It is based on a mixture of “doing and reviewing”, and aims to produce training and development professionals who are able to incorporate the intercultural dimension into their training activities and so help their organisations cope effectively as they develop their operations and compete on a Europe‐wide basis.
