The stress corrosion properties of 3CR12 were evaluated in various media by means of potentiodynamic scanning and the slow strain rate techniques. In general 3CR12 shows good resistance to stress corrosion except in hot chloride solutions above 100°C.

Abstract
IF the most effective use is to be made of aircraft in Canada in the future, adequate research facilities must be provided to assist designers and the industry to develop improved aircraft, suited to the conditions and requirements of the country, and to solve the problems arising in Canadian aviation. The National Research Council has, therefore, with the approval of the Sub‐Committee of the Privy Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, undertaken to provide, in the National Research Laboratories now being established in Ottawa, facilities for aeronautical research.

Abstract
AVIATION has played and is playing an important part in the economic development of the Dominion of Canada. The mapping of huge areas has been accomplished with aircraft and the instruments and techniques of air survey and map plotting have been brought to a high state of development in the Dominion. Geological exploration has been facilitated and greatly accelerated by the aeroplane and air transport plays an indispensable role in connexion with northern mining operations. Aerial forest patrol and timber cruising arc widely used in the protection and development of the vast timber resources. In the far north the aeroplane provides a vital service to outlying posts and settlements, meteorological stations and trappers. In the organized air transport of passengers, mail and express, Canadian operations have developed from modest beginnings to the present continental network and services to the United Kingdom, Bermuda and the West Indies. The operational record of the scheduled services, in traffic, economy and safety, is impressive.

Abstract
IT has been found by model tests that the lift of a combination of an aeroplane body and a wing is not in general equal to the sum of the lifts of the two components when tested separately. This difference is broadly referred to as an interference effect. It is dependent on a number of factors which can be generalised into three groups:—

Aslib is most fortunate this year to have secured the services as President of Sir Lindor Brown, Waynflete Professor of Physiology in the University of Oxford and Biological Secretary of the Royal Society. It will be remembered that Sir Lindor gave the opening address at the International Conference on Scientific Information held in Washington in November 1958, and that he has been Chairman of the Consultative Committee for the National Lending Library for Science and Technology since its formation.

Abstract
The orientation of a rigid body is described by a position‐tensor, composed of three unit vector axes fixed in the body; rotation is effected by tensor transformations in which a rotational operator is a Cartesian matrix, formed from the co‐ordinates of the pivot axis and components of the angle of rotation; rotational sequences are represented by matrix products. Three practical applications are discussed: sequences of aircraft manoeuvres, which include composite rotations of roll and pitch, or roll, pitch and yaw, applied simultaneously; the variation of sweep, incidence and dihedral of a wing moving on any axis fixed in the aircraft; the direction of the pivot axis and the angle of rotation in the motion of a retractable undercarriage between two specified positions.

Abstract
The advancement of technology is fast, disruptive, and currently known as the new civilization of the Industrial Revolution 5.0. It causes changes in the human lifelines in their economy, politics, culture, and social aspects. Particularly, third world nations and developing countries need to prepare the alertness for this adjustment, especially for the young generation. International political events will come, and the developed countries will crush the other countries those are unable or not having the skill to manage technology and innovate learning process. It is following the proverb of who controls the technology will master the resources. Global advancements and its dynamics in the era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 have impacted the education system in South Asian and South East Nations specifically due to changing characteristics of learning. The objective of this study is to investigate the characteristics of learning in the era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0, specifically in the master’s program of advertising and public relation of a private university in Indonesia. This study adopted a qualitative approach, through the technique of focus group discussion (FGD) to obtain the result on the basis of thematic analysis. There were 12 participants of the FGD representing various groups of stakeholders consisting of students, teachers, and leaders. The results of this FGD indicate that learning characteristics in the era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 are swiftly transforming and there is a vital need of accommodation and acceptance by learner and instructor during dissemination of knowledge. Overloading of technology has become a blockage too during the facilitation of an educational activity in lack of appropriate awareness and training.

Abstract
Outlines the requirements and methods of assessment of sound insulation in dwellings, as ordered by Part E of the Building Regulations 1985. Explores the origins of the performance standard and comments on the performance achieved in practice. Summarizes present proposals to increase the scope of Part E by means of a case study of a remedial exercise to improve poor sound insulation in newly built flats.
