This is a series of CD-ROM/manual based training modules covering basic management skills. The particular methodology underpinning the training is that the trainee works through an interactive test on the CD, then reads the training material, and finally works through the test again. This demonstrates that real learning has taken place and offers the trainee confirmation of his/her own progress.

The modules available are:

  • work study;

  • standard costing;

  • materials handling;

  • materials management; and

  • the production manager.

Both presentation and content is kept fairly basic to make these quick ways of measuring and imparting core knowledge. The examples and questions given are based on 20 years of experience of training and consultancy, around the globe. At this level, the modules look to be excellent for the training of supervisors, and of people who may need to come up to speed quickly to contribute to projects in any of these areas.
