Printer with automatic vision alignment

Keywords Screen printers, ESSEMTEC

The new SP200 from ESSEMTEC is an automatic screen and stencil printer with vision. Two cameras detect fiducial marks on the PCB and the position of the print is automatically corrected with the motorized x/y/theta table. The operator only has to place the board on the slider and to start the automatic printing process.

All process parameters like squeegee pressure or printing speed are stored in a program and controlled by the microprocessor. The printing quality is therefore controlled and reproducible, not depending on operator adjustments. After printing the print is separated parallel to the stencil, which is very important for fine pitch printing.

Large screens and stencils with a frame size of up to 737 x 737 mm (29" x 29") can be used. The big universal magnetic PCB fixation is adjustable to every print size in seconds and also the easy programming allows a fast set-up and changeover.

The printer is used for prototyping up to mass production together with fully automatic pick and place machines. The vision system and the automatic print alignment and the controlled printing process leads to reproducible print results even for very fine structures.
