Quad Systems Corporation is offering new bulk cassette feeders. Quad's new bulk cassette feeders present small components including 0402s, 0603s and 0805s with more precision than is possible with tape and reel presentation. In addition, bulk cassette feeders require less operator assistance to replenish supply. They also enable manufacturers to take advantage of cassette component packaging, which is less costly than paper or embossed tape packaging.

The new bulk cassette feeders are compatible with Quad "Q" Series, "C" Series and Meridian Series placement systems. They accept Murata Erie cassettes and latch into a Quad tape feeder base. Each bulk feeder obtains electrical power for its self-contained control electronics from the feeder base; 60 to 80PSI clean dry air is also required to power the feeder.
