The first meeting of the REACT Network Club was held on Wednesday 15 September at TWI North, Middlesbrough. This first event contained a technical presentation on lead-free solders.
The aim of the club is to enable individuals and companies involved in soldering, PCB and electronics assembly to meet in an informal environment, share experiences, gather information, make industrial contacts and advise on future work to be carried out at REACT.
Every month the early evening meetings (5.30-7.30p.m.) are held at various locations in the North-East of England. A typical agenda includes a local/international technology news update, a short technical presentation/discussion and an ask the experts (local industry and REACT) session. It is hoped to hold some meetings at local companies to encourage a broader sharing of industrial experience.
The Network Club is free to join and open to anyone interested in this area of technology.
