Excellon announces the development of its first system for the Excellon/ATI depanelization line of equipment since acquiring ATI in August of 1998. The Excellon/ATI model 105DP is an in-line, fully automated depanelization router for populated boards. Excellon states that the system maintains the "rock hard" stability, reliability, and accuracy for which the ATI systems have long been known, while giving the user a completely hands-off operation for in-line applications.

The system receives a populated PCB panel, places it on the worktable, depanelizes the individual PC assemblies, then transfers the individual assemblies to an output station. PC assemblies can be oriented in any way so that they can be delivered in a uniform configuration, such as gold fingers, facing in the same direction, regardless of how they were oriented in the original PCB panel.
