Phlox S.A. has created, specifically for the imaging market, several standard backlights based on its high performance light pipe (see Plate 7). These backlights outperform the competition by exceptional properties of brightness, uniformity in intensity and color, and low operating temperature (<90°F/40°C). Standard backlight dimensions are 2in x 2in, 4in x 4in and 8in x 8in with an impressive luminance above 10,000cd/m2, 8,000cd/m2 and 4,500cd/m2 respectively. Phlox technology allows for quick and affordable custom-made models with dimensions up to 30in x 24in.
