Tnemec introduces advanced generation epoxy

Article Type: New products From: Pigment & Resin Technology, Volume 39, Issue 1

A fast cure modified polyamine epoxy lining for concrete and steel in water storage and treatment markets has been launched by Tnemec. Series FC22 Epoxoline is a 100 percent solids, thick film epoxy that has the advantage of rapidly curing at 75°F for return to service within 24 h. With the ability to cure down to ambient temperatures as low as 35°F, Series FC22 Epoxoline enables work on projects to continue under varying weather and seasonal conditions. And compared with polyurethane and polyurea coatings, Series FC22 Epoxoline is more tolerant and user-friendly when it comes to environmental conditions during application, according to the company. Series FC22 Epoxoline has been used successfully on several steel and concrete tanks, reservoirs, and pipes in potable water service including a 500,000 gal galvanized potable water tank in Missouri City, Texas; a 500,000 gal ground storage tank in Owego, New York; and a water treatment plant project in Phoenix, Arizona.
