Sensing for cationic surfactants

Keywords: Surfactants, Electrodes

The 6.0507.150 cationic surfactant polymer membrane electrode is the latest of Metrohm’s indicator electrodes for the environment-friendly surfactant titration in aqueous media. In addition to the 6.0507.010 NIO electrode for non-ionic surfactants and the 6.0507.120 ionic surfactant electrode (preferably for anionic surfactant), laboratories now have at their disposal a surfactant electrode that has been specially optimised for the aqueous titration of cationic surfactants but that can also be used for the determination of anionic titrations.

The cationic surfactant can be applied just as well to the control of raw materials as to the analysis of formulations containing several surfactants, says Metrohm. The cationic surfactant is supplied with an individual test certificate and thus fully suitable for GLP analysis.
