Specialty Minerals Inc., Bethlehem, PA, report that Chris Wimberger has been hired as technical sales representative for the North Central USA, encompassing Minnesota and Wisconsin. He will provide technical and sales support to both current and future customers.
Chris previously worked with Nalco Pulp & Paper Division, selling specialty chemicals, gaining experience which he will apply to SMI's product line. He obtained his BS in Paper Science and Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Specialty Minerals, a division of Minerals Technologies, New York, NY, provides performance-enhancing industrial minerals and chemicals for the paper, polymer, building products and allied industries.
Dennis Shaffer has also joined the company as western regional sales manager. The territory consists of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Upper Michigan, California, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia, Canada.
He will focus on the supply of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) to the printing and writing paper businesses in the western region of North America.
Having worked for Hercules International in product development as well as sales and business management, Dennis brings vast experience to his new position. He graduated from Youngstown State University, Ohio, with a BS in Chemistry.
