Reusable rubber caps and plugs with a flanged design that reportedly prohibits their misuse and claims an excellent seal for points of protection during production and finishing have been introduced by MOCAP.
The MOCAP flange caps and plugs are available in both heat stabilised silicone and EPDM for use in such applications as powder coating and electroplating respectively.
The range is designed for one-size, one sided insertion only for placement accuracy with a tab provided for easier handling. This arrangement is thought to reflect the way plugs are used in practice and helps to enable MOCAP to offer a price competitive solution.
Also featured is an extended flange on both plugs and caps to provide improved protection from ingress and the consequent requirement for costly, time-consuming cleanup. In electrical/electronic applications the flange is also reported to afford a wider area for improved earthing
Manufactured in MOCAP's distinctive red to indicate clearly their reusability, the flange caps and plugs are said to be available from stock with following-day delivery. The initial series will cover the size range M3 to M12, with extensions to follow.
