Range of anti-graffiti coatings

Range of anti-graffiti coatings

Keywords: Dussek Campbell, Coatings

Dussek Campbell states that its new range of water-based sacrificial anti-graffiti coating retains all the benefits of traditional solvent-based products with none of the environmental disadvantages.

The product range has been tested by London Underground's technical team 4-RAIL Services Ltd, and director Steve Moore commented, "we were greatly impressed by the Dussek Campbell anti-graffiti coating, which outperformed its competitors in terms of its ease of application, its resistance to graffiti and graffiti removal with the coating".

The launch of the new range of coatings highlight Dussek Campbell's policy of developing environmentally friendly innovative wax products.

Said to be ideal for both exterior and interior concrete and brickwork, the coatings can be applied by spray, brush or roller and are fully graffiti-resistant within hours. Once dry, they are said to be virtually invisible and are also resistant to weather and rainwater, enhancing their attractiveness to architects and specifiers.

The coatings reportedly can be quickly and easily removed using high-pressure hot water, thus eliminating the need for solvent-based removal products. The surface can then be re-coated immediately when dry. The technology within the products also allows the surface to "breathe" while preventing graffiti from penetrating it.

Extra-strong protection is claimed against marker and felt-tip pens with a total life expectancy of five years. The entire range is fully biodegradable and flammability tests are underway at the time of going to press.

It is anticipated that the anti-graffiti coating will spearhead a completely new range of sacrificial barriercoat products, with applications possibly to include protection against acid rain, fire damage and general pollution.

Dussek Campbell is now seeking distributors across Europe for this range of products - for more information contact Phillip Hindley or Paul Henderson on +44 (0)1257 278321.
