Heard the one about the elephant hair superglued onto a wedding ring? Well, ICI ChlorChemicals' Technical Helpline has.

ICI Chlor-Chemicals have launched a Technical Help Line to provide authoritative advice and assistance with the use of its solvent products. Since its start-up, the Chlor-Chemicals help line has answered a wide range of queries ranging from general information on the safe use of solvents to advice on the more extraordinary.

In addition to helping to resolve problems and queries about the use of Chlor-Chemicals solvent products, the Help Line will also help customers with their questions about ChlorChemicals' other products, including Chlorine, Caustic Soda and Hydrochloric Acid. With its unrivalled background in the manufacture and use of chlorine-based products, the Chlor-Chemicals team is uniquely equipped to provide information on all aspects of solvent use, including safety, health and environmental advice. The technical know-how to suggest cleaning solutions and safe operation of cleaning plants is also freely available.

"The number of calls requesting advice on specialist solvent problems has been balanced by requests for more generic information, such as chemical safety data sheets," comments Phil Johnson, customer service representative. "With the reservoir of authoritative expertise within Chlor-Chemicals we can almost always answer customers' questions however extraordinary!"

And the elephant hair? "Yes, we solved that one, too," says Johnson.

Anyone interested in asking for advice on Chlor-Chemicals' products should Telephone +44 (0) 1928 515999 or Fax their enquiry to +44 (0) 1928 515253.
