Compact infrared thermometer

Compact infrared thermometer

Graham & White Instruments announce an infrared thermometer which is compact enough to fit in a pocket, but with a full-size specification.

The compact and lightweight (only 200g) design of the PT-3LF Thermohunter allows it to be carried either in a pocket or an optional belt pouch, so that it is close at hand when required (Plate 7). The PT-3LF measures in the range 20 to 400°C quickly, and from a distance without contact. Just push a button and aim at the target. A built-in high-intensity laser marker enables you to focus quickly and easily on the object with precision, as it pinpoints the centre of your measuring area.

A new silicon lens and optics array allows precise measurements to be taken in a small measuring area of 20mm diameter at 500mm distance, and readings can be taken on targets three metres away with accuracy.

A built-in automatic back light enables the instrument to be used in very low lighting conditions, and flexibility is ensured with selectable emissivity, deg C/F, and normal/peak hold values.

This instrument is an invaluable detection tool for general purpose use in and around any production or manufacturing facility, where there is a constant need to quickly check temperatures. It can help to prevent a variety of temperature-related equipment, process or production problems, before damage or expense occurs.
