Diabetes is a chronic disease that affects around 2.5 million people in the UK. Around 85-90 percent have type 2 diabetes with the remaining 10-15 percent having type 1 diabetes of whom 20,000 are children under the age of 15 years. The Insulin Dependent Diabetes Trust offers FREE support and information to people with diabetes, their families and health professionals on issues that are important to them. We produce a variety of information leaflets on aspects of living with diabetes, including “understanding your diabetes” as well as our “hospital passport”.
Membership of the trust is FREE and entitles members to receive our quarterly newsletters, the IDDT Newsletter, type 2 and You and the Parents Bulletin.
