Foodtech 2005 – Foodtech bookings for 2005 a record

Despite visitor numbers being down on last year's event, the Foodtech 2004 exhibition attracted just over 1,000 quality visitors from across the industry, including the food retailing, processing and manufacturing sectors.

Commenting on the event, show director Graham Yandell said:

  We are pleased with the show although disappointed that the move to a London venue reduced attendance rather than improved numbers as we had expected. Traffic problems and tube difficulties were also not helpful. However it is pleasing to note that by 3.00 pm on the second day 25 per cent of exhibitors had already booked for the Telford presentation next year when Foodtech will co-locate with the Food & Meat Expo. There is no doubt that the easy access of a midlands venue, together with a much bigger overall event, including major competitions and the SAFHT Conference, will make the two days of 7 and 8 September a forum not to miss.
