Editorial

Although I am aware that by the time this issue is in print, it will be mid 2006, I thought I would take this opportunity to thank all the authors who contributed to MSQ in 2005. I would also like to thank the co-chairs of QUIS-9 (Professors Bo Edvardsson, Robert Johnston and Stephen Brown) for allowing us the opportunity to publicize MSQ during the conference. My sincere thanks also to those MSQ Editorial Board Members who assist me in promoting the Journal and to those who take up leadership roles as special issue editors. In this regard, I would like to thank Professor Anders Gustafsson and Professor Bo Edwardson (CTF, Karlstad University, Sweden) for their contribution in editing a special issue on “Service excellence in management”. My sincere thanks are also extended to Professor Allard van Riel (HEC Management School – University of Liège, Liège, Belgium) for editing a special issue on “Service innovation management”.

Finally, I would like to congratulate MSQ EAB members Professor Eileen Bridges (Kent State University, USA) and Professor Jiju Antony (Glasgow Caledonian University) on their recent promotions.
