Hybrid Laser Tech, a specialist laser cutting company operating in the micro- electronics industry, is celebrating huge increases in orders from its UK and international customers.
The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shearline Precision Engineering Ltd, has seen a particularly large increase in its export market, with sales abroad accounting for 30 percent of turnover in the last quarter compared with 10 percent for the same period a year ago.
Hybrid Laser Tech Ltd uses laser to precision cut ceramics, metal, plastics and acrylics and has recently perfected a number of unique processes in cutting heat resistant ceramics to extremely tight tolerances. It is this technology, backed up by both a concerted wave of exhibitions, events and marketing initiatives from the firm's high quality direct sales team and exceptional customer service, that has been the backbone of its continued success.
Kevin Thompson, Hybrid Laser Tech Ltd's, Sales and Technical Manager, commented, “This increase in sales has been across all sections of our client base. We supply the micro electronics, medical and defence sectors and have managed to grow both repeat orders and new business.”
“Our customers include potent blue chip companies such as Philips, Nokia, Alcatel, BAe and we're also involved with the Eurofighter project. Countries benefiting from our cuttings skills now include Hong Kong, Australia, Israel, Sweden and Spain.”
On the strength of the continued rise in sales, Hybrid is preparing to invest in new laser cutting machinery. This new equipment will offer better production capabilities whilst maintaining exacting levels of quality.
Hybrid Laser Tech Ltd was acquired by Shearline Precision Engineering Ltd in August 2005. Trading for over 30 years Shearline Precision Engineering is considered as one of the UK's most successful engineering companies.
