Thomson Derwent has announced that Derwent Innovations indexSM has been enhanced with a range of flexible search options and expanded functionality, giving engineering and technology researchers faster access to vital patent and citation information. Derwent innovations index merges Derwent world patents index with Derwent patents citation index, which provides unmatched coverage of patent citations from major patent issuing authorities.
The new features of index version 4.0 include:

additional export formats;

interactive thesauri; and

flexible search options.
In addition, the new version will also offer links to the full text patent documents from a specially customised version of the Thomson Patent Store.
