Scotland could make more
In its first year, the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS) carried out a total of 119 one-day Manufacturing Reviews with Scottish manufacturing companies, making excellent progress in achieving its aims.
These Reviews identified over £19.6 million of potential added-value to the companies, should the companies implement all the productivity recommendations made to them.
SMAS offers support for improvement projects to Scottish manufacturing companies, including backing for collaborative projects between companies and raising awareness of best practice in manufacturing through training and seminar activities.
