Have fun at work!
Korean executives think highly of a sense of humour when they hire new employees, according to the Samsung Economic Research Institute. In a recent survey of 631 chief executives who subscribe to its web site, www.sericeo.org, about 77 percent said that they would hire prospective employees who have a sense of humour rather than those who do not. In reply to question whether a witty employee can work better than those who are not witty, nearly 48 percent said yes.
An overwhelming number of executives think that “fun” management is indispensable to increasing productivity, smoothing organizational culture and improving customer service.
