BT, phone home

BT, a leading provider of information and communications technology solutions, has activated a new multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) node in Toronto – Canada’s largest city and a key location for BT business customers. The company also announced a newly upgraded end-to-end private line, single contract service between Canada and some 20 countries worldwide, simplifying the provision and management of trans-border services for global enterprises. The new capabilities strengthen BT’s proposition in North America and illustrate the company’s commitment to serve the needs of its multinational corporate customers with operations in Canada. The Toronto node, built in response to customer demand, is part of the first phase of BT’s plan to extend its IP infrastructure in the Americas, first announced in 2003.
