A note from the Editor-in-Chief

Article Type: A note from the Editor-in-Chief From: International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Volume 32, Issue 3

In this Issue, we introduce the first of what we hope will be a successful, ongoing feature within International Journal of Operations & Production Management (IJOPM). It is called the “Operations Masters series” and this is where we will interview, and provide insights from, leading figures in the field of Operations Management. We begin the series with an interview with Professor Terry Hill, currently Emeritus Professor at Oxford University. Professor Hill’s contribution has been very important, particularly in the area of Operations Strategy, which continues to be a key theme within Operations Management.

Future interviews will engage with experts in manufacturing and service sectors whose contributions to the field have been recognised internationally. We will engage with academics from around the world to bring the very best insights from top academics.

We hope you will enjoy this feature, which will appear from time to time within IJOPM. Should you have any suggestions as to who should be featured, please feel free to contact me – ideas are very welcome. We have already gained considerable interest from top scholars who have said they want to be involved in this series and we look forward to publishing further interviews in the “Operations Masters Series”.
