The Lloyds prescription for management development
Lloyds Pharmacy has launched a distance learning programme available to all managers in its 1,300 stores.
The programme, developed by the company's in-house training team, consists of four modules. Each includes exercises and case studies to support continuing professional development.

"Our people" covers a range of key managerial skills, including delegation, performance management, developing staff potential, recruitment and selection, motivation, managing change, teamwork and time management.
- 2.
"Our pharmacies" deals with the challenges of the National Health Service plan, developing relationships with other health care specialists, and the role of the community pharmacist in offering patient-centred care.
- 3.
"Our customers" focuses on customer service, selling and handling complaints.
- 4.
"Our business performance" covers a range of business management techniques, including profit and loss accounts and how to increase a pharmacy's average transaction value.
