Open learning and organization development specialist, Optimum Learning, has launched a series of flexible learning resources under the title "The Simple Psychology Series". The first title in the series, The Simple Psychology of Selling, covers the secrets and skills of successful sales techniques and is available in three distinct but interrelated forms:

   as a half-day seminar based around a tutor-led multimedia presentation;

2. 2.

   as modular, performance-related, text-based material; and

3. 3.

   via actual and/or virtual tuition from the authors of the learning materials.

Learners can access the information in any ­ or in any combination ­ of these forms.

"These are the first learning materials to be made available simultaneously in various formats to cater for each student's preferred learning style and availability to study", explained Phil Green of Optimum Learning.

"If students choose the individual tuition/ consultancy approach, this can be delivered via the Internet or a corporate intranet", he continued.

"In addition to this online tutorial service, Optimum Learning has set up chat rooms where students can discuss issues with their colleagues and tutors via e-mail. And students can e-mail their assignments to us for assessment and validation", he added.

Costs vary according to the delivery method. Those who attend the half-day seminar pay £99, while those opting for the text-based material are charged £250. Those accessing the material via the Internet or intranet are given a time-sensitive password to allow them unrestricted access to the material for three months, at a cost of £150.
