The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) has developed a measurement kit for benchmarking and continuous improvement. This kit is designed to measure and compare companies' education and training investments and outcomes. ASTD hopes and expects that this will lay the foundation for creating a standard for measuring and valuing firms' efforts in this area. Firms that use the kit and submit the information to ASTD will receive a free, detailed and customized benchmarking report that matches their training investments and outcomes against those of comparable organizations in their industry and with the top national benchmark.
