Enjoy Healthy Eating has been produced by the Health Education Authority to convey the information to the general public that was included in the scientific report of the Committee on Medical Aspects of Food Policy (COMA) on dietary reference values. Enjoy Healthy Eating translates the messages of COMA into easy, practical and affordable suggestions for healthy eating. Its messages are to eat a variety of food and to eat plenty of starchy carbohydrate foods, fruit and vegetables. It explains how to cut down on fat and sugar, moderate alcohol intake and achieve a healthy weight. It looks at a variety of meals and suggests how they could be made more healthy. The booklet is most attractively produced and is available free of charge from the Distribution Department, Health Education Authority, Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London WC1H 9TX or from local health promotion units.
