Abstract
Between April 1989 and March 1990 the Department of Health and Social Security recorded 2,336,300 working days lost in British Industry through occupational skin disease — alarming figures which doctors believe represents merely the tip of the dermatitis iceberg, now more commonly known as “The Hidden Disease”.
