Abstract

As readers will know, although there is a long tradition in the coatings industry of using fillers, improvements in the quality of various fillers means the market is expanding. This view is supported in a recent Frost & Sullivan report which explores the market for fillers, opacifiers and extenders throughout Europe. It forecasts a rise in sales from the 1988 figure of $3.8 bn to $4.7 bn by 1994.
