Abstract

There's been a lot of commotion and promises made during the last 10 years about strategic information systems. Simply find the right technology and you too can enjoy that special competitive edge, say proponents of these systems. But the bloom has begun to fade from this particular rose, and many who were once enthusiastic advocates of technology now find themselves reexamining the contribution of information systems to business success.
