Abstract
People are talking about fundraising for libraries with much greater frequency and regularity than ever before, and the New York Public Library (NYPL) has become the institution they point to when the topic is discussed. In a recent interview, Jennifer Herring, Vice President for Development at NYPL, talked about the broad scope of the library's development effort and its mission to create “the margin of excellence” for NYPL.
