LC FEES IN THE FUTURE?

Abstract

The Library of Congress has a bill in motion that could result in fees for service. While at this early date it is not possible to know the full ramifications of the Library of Congress Fee Services Legislation, it is more than disquieting to find the closest approximation to a national library our country's citizens possess proposing an act that disregards the basic tenets of free access to information.
