Abstract

Recent meetings, discussions and articles by industrial trainers and people involved in all sectors of education show that both groups are facing similar problems. Furthermore, the solutions being considered are often equally alike. For instance the microprocessor, because of its versatility and low cost, is likely to be used increasingly, creating re‐training problems. Particularly in further and higher education, as well as industrial training, distance learning is generating a need for re‐training.
