Abstract

The courses for Mechanical Engineering Technicians and Electrical Engineering Technicians born of the White Paper ‘Better Opportunities‘ have much to recommend them. Their syllabuses have an air of reality and practicality with few abstractions, and are interwoven to show the dependence of all the subjects on each other. A trained technician emerges from the course with a good knowledge of engineering as it is practised and fills a requirement of industry in general engineering.
