TEACHERS' RESISTANCE TO INNOVATION
Abstract
There is always a time lag between the invention of a new technology and its dissemination and general acceptance. Innovation is the strategy and tactics of spreading new technologies. Reform and innovation are two aspects of change. They are components of the technology of change. To reform is to alter by removing errors, to bring back or restore to the original state; to innovate is to introduce a new state. Its distinguishing characteristic is the novelty designed to be more efficient in achieving the goals of the system within which it was developed.
