A.J. Walter Aviation (East Midlands) has just signed a two-year contract with Necon Air (Nepal) to support their new ATR42 operations. This comprises a total spares support package backed-up by A.J. Walter Aviation's dedicated repair and overhaul service.

Sean McKieman, technical director of A.J. Walter Aviation, comments: "This new contract with Necon Air confirms A.J. Walter Aviation as a competitive and reliable supplier of components and maintenance in this location. The East Midlands Airport is a major hub for import and export businesses, freight and courier services - UPS, DHL and Nippon Air Cargo all operate from here. Scheduled and charter European operations have developed extensively and the first direct flights to the USA will commence this year - all benefiting from the multi-million investment programme".

A.J. Walter Aviation (East Midlands) is also responsible for the acquisition of surplus spares from the Midlands and North. Consignments have already been purchased from Maersk Air (BHX) and Manx Airlines (IoM), with several others under negotiation.
