Abstract

Discusses the importance of learning about mental health at an earlier age to enable people to gain control over their own development and be able to understand and tolerate others with mental health problems. Asserts that young people can be enthusiastically involved in such topics as long as they are presented in the right way. Describes the introduction of a course on mental health to 14/15 year olds. Concludes that it is not important to rely on a lot of written material but that drama can be an excellent medium to maintain interest and involvement.
