Abstract

Reports on the Indian Scientific Documentation Centre (INSDOC), which has offered a document supply service to the scientific community in India since 1952. Reviews this service through the years, taking into account the fluctuating trend in the demand for document copies, the usual channels of procurement of documents, the satisfaction level, the speed of supply copies. Attempts to identify the reasons for the recent decline in the number of requests for copies of documents.
