Abstract

Discusses the reasons why companies innovate, and the methods employed to innovate successfully. Considers the factors which discourage innovation, the right people, rewards, environment, and organizational structure for innovation as well as the sources of creative ideas. Concludes that innovation is allowed by attention to the human needs of the innovator, rather than by force, and attending to these needs allows companies to enjoy growth and leadership in the markets they serve.
