Abstract

The aim of this chapter is to present a concise overview of the key concerns related to positive education and, as raised by Robson-Kelly (2018), whether it is too positive for the UK. By making comparisons to Moore et al.’s (2022) recent review of the challenges and facilitators in implementing mental health and wellbeing interventions in schools more broadly, it concludes that positive education deserves its rightful place within the UK education system. With the growing demand for schools to offer mental health education and support to young people, positive education offers a holistic and sustainable approach to wellbeing, and without overshadowing the importance of academic achievement.
