Daniela Gimenez-Jimenez is a Junior Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany. Before holding the junior professorship, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Chair for Corporate Sustainability at the Technical University of Munich. Daniela studied economics at the Universidad de Carabobo (Venezuela). After several years working in different corporations, she moved to Spain and studied for her Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Management at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). She then obtained a scholarship from the Witten Institute of Family Business and wrote her doctoral thesis at the Universität Witten/Herdecke (Germany). After finishing her thesis, she became a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair for Corporate Sustainability at the Technical University of Munich. During her academic career, Daniela has been a Visiting Scholar at Bentley University (United States) and the University of Akureyri (Iceland).
Daniela's previous work has been published in international journals, such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Small Business Economics, the Journal of Business Ethics, and the Journal of Cleaner Production. She has also presented her studies at many international conferences. Daniela dedicates her research to women and diversity in business, entrepreneurship, and sustainable business models.
