Abstract

In the same way that markets consolidate as they mature, technologies also tend to converge, so that over time more and more application areas can be served by the same technology. As technology that was once firmly in the domain of traditional information technology (IT) converges with areas such as building systems and telephony, it presents opportunities and challenges for real estate providers and their customers as well as for the technology solutions providers.
