Abstract
The successful business in the 1990s and beyond will be a user of highly trained, flexible people as the principal means of adding value. Workforce training and constant retraining must climb to the top of the management agenda. Value added will increasingly come through people, and provide the winners. Only highly skilled people will be able to add value. In order to achieve this, radical changes are required.
