The millennium bug ‐ how big is its bite?

Abstract

Provides a summary of the points raised at a recent chief executives conference, in trying to ascertain how real the year 2000 problem is, and gain an idea of its scale. Describes the background to the problem in the programming languages used since the 1970s. Describes how to plan the solution, and solve the problem.
